Veira Group, the leading ODM for Smart TVs in India, has raised its production capacity of semi-automatic washing machines and air coolers from 0.3 to 1 million units annually. As part of its five-year plan, the company is also planning to add small appliances to its manufacturing portfolio. A new washing machine and air cooler assembly line has been installed at the Greater Noida facility, allowing for the introduction of new models and increased flexibility for multi-model production.
Veira has added more than 500 new molds to produce up to 20 new variants of air coolers and washing machines. This facility currently produces 100,000 coolers and 1 lakh semi-automatic washing machines, providing customers with a complete range of semi-automatic washing machines and desert coolers in 30-120 likes. The new capacity will generate employment opportunities for over 250 people.
According to Sharan Maini, Director of Operations at Veira Group, “Veira Group is India’s oldest and fastest-growing ODM. We already have a strong presence in the Smart TV category. The new capacity will help us achieve our 100% growth target in Washing Machines and Air Coolers. We are determined to reach our goal of being among the top 5 in the Indian Consumer Durables & Appliances industry by 2025.”
Veira is one of the few ODMs in India with the technology to manufacture fire TVs, WebOS TVs, and Certified Android & Google TVs. In addition to its success with LED TVs, Veira aspires to become one of India’s largest ODMs for washing machines and air coolers. The company started producing semi-automatic washing machines and air coolers in 2021, and this move is expected to further strengthen its position in the market.
