AKAI India has launched a new range of 5-star semi-automatic top-load washing machines, positioned around the theme “The Spa for Your Clothes.” The new lineup combines heavy-duty performance with features focused on fabric care, energy efficiency and everyday convenience.
Inspired by the Japanese Mottainai philosophy, the new AKAI washing machines are designed to address everyday laundry requirements while focusing on reduced water and electricity consumption. The range also introduces the company’s Magic Wash feature, which completes the wash cycle in 35 minutes with a soak function.
New AKAI Washing Machines Available from 7kg to 14kg
The new semi-automatic washing machine range is available in capacities ranging from 7kg to 14kg. AKAI India says the lineup is designed to cater to different household requirements, from young couples to larger joint families.
The company is focusing on heavy-duty performance, lower running costs and durability rather than adding features that consumers may not regularly use.
Five Pulsator Technologies Across the Range
AKAI has introduced five different pulsator technologies across its new semi-automatic washing machine models. These technologies are designed to support different washing requirements across the range.
The x5 Wing Pulsator is available across the 7kg to 14kg range. It offers Normal and Gentle wash cycles, while higher-capacity models also get a Strong mode.
The Dual Force Pulsator is available on select models and is designed for households that regularly handle heavier laundry loads.
The Active Flow 360° technology powers AKAI’s Magic Wash feature on select models. It offers a 35-minute wash cycle with a built-in soak function.
The Jumbo Pulsator is available on the 8.5kg glass-lid range. It provides Normal, Gentle and Strong wash programs and comes with an electronic timer that runs for up to 40 minutes.
The range also includes Spiral Pulsator and Roller Pulsator technologies across the 8.5kg and 10.5kg tiers. These models feature a water selector and multiple wash programs.
11kg Model Gets Stainless-Steel Wash and Spin Tub
The 11kg model sits at the top of the range and introduces a stainless-steel wash-and-spin tub. According to AKAI India, this is a first for its semi-automatic washing machine lineup.
Designed for Long-Term Use
AKAI has equipped the new washing machines with several protective features aimed at durability. Every model comes with an anti-rat mesh to protect the wiring, a rust-proof body and thermal protection for the wash motor.
The company is also offering a five-year warranty on the wash motor across the range. All models carry a 5-star energy rating, with AKAI positioning durability and longer use as key aspects of the new lineup.
Additional Convenience Features
Most capacities also feature soft-closing lids, with this feature available on 7.5kg glass-lid models and above.
The washing machines also come with castor wheels for easier movement, along with a collar scrubber and magic filter for lint and dirt. Depending on the model, users get either a single or dual water inlet.
AKAI India Service Network
AKAI India is supporting the new washing machine range through its nationwide service network. The company has more than 1,200 service centres across 28 states, providing after-sales support for customers across India.

The new AKAI semi-automatic washing machines are available across India at a starting price of ₹12,590.
The washing machines can be purchased through the AKAI India official website, select third-party online stores and authorised AKAI India retailers.
