After an extended period of development, information regarding the possible release date for the new MacBook Air models has emerged. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that Apple is anticipated to launch the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models during the WWDC event in June.
Since the introduction of the Apple M2 chipset and MacBook Air models last year at WWDC, it would not be unexpected for Apple to follow a similar pattern and unveil the new M3 chip and MacBook Air models at this year’s event.
According to a report by 9to5Mac, the 13-inch MacBook Air with the code name J513 is currently in development and will be powered by the unannounced M3 chipset. Additionally, Apple plans to release a 15-inch MacBook Air with the code name J515, which will also be powered by the M3 processor.
There has been no indication so far that Apple plans to release a more powerful version of the M3 chip, such as the M3 Pro, for the upcoming MacBook Air models. Alongside the new MacBook Air models, Apple is also expected to launch an updated 13-inch MacBook Pro that will be powered by the M3 chipset.
