RiskProfiler has announced the RiskProfiler MCP Connector, a new interface that allows users to access authorized intelligence and functions from the RiskProfiler platform through compatible AI assistants.
Designed for security analysts, risk teams and security leaders, the connector provides conversational access to external threat and exposure intelligence. Authorized users can ask natural-language questions about changes to their external attack surface, third-party risk, credential exposure, digital threats and ongoing security operations.
The connector is designed to reduce the manual effort involved in navigating multiple dashboards, filters and reports during security investigations. RiskProfiler remains the underlying intelligence platform and system of record, while the AI assistant provides an additional way for users to explore information within their authorized access.
How the RiskProfiler MCP Connector Works
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides a standardized method for compatible AI applications to request information and functions from connected systems.
The RiskProfiler MCP Connector applies this interaction model to the RiskProfiler platform. When an authorized user submits a natural-language question through a supported AI assistant, the connector can translate the request into permitted queries or functions within the customer’s RiskProfiler environment.
Relevant results are then returned to the AI assistant for presentation and further analysis. RiskProfiler remains the system of record, enforcing access controls and providing the customer-specific intelligence and investigation context used to generate each response.
RiskProfiler MCP Connector Works with KnyX AI
The new connector also complements KnyX AI, RiskProfiler’s agentic investigation capability.
The agentic AI engine is designed to collect and correlate evidence, investigate threat signals, generate confidence-scored findings and support remediation in accordance with customer-defined policies.
The MCP Connector adds a conversational way for users to request and explore this intelligence through compatible AI assistants.
Connecting External Risk Intelligence
The RiskProfiler MCP Connector is designed to support investigations across multiple areas of external risk. Instead of treating individual signals as isolated records, the connector can help security analysts bring together intelligence across different areas.
It can support attack path intelligence carried out by KnyX across modules by correlating threat signal analysis, investigation, validation and prioritization.
The connector also supports entity-centric investigations. For example, an analyst examining a domain can request available exposure, digital-threat, vulnerability, credential and third-party intelligence associated with that entity. The analyst can then narrow the investigation through follow-up questions.
Daily Security Briefings Through AI Assistants
Security analysts can also request a daily security briefing covering significant developments across their external risk landscape.
Based on an organization’s configuration and permitted data, the briefing can highlight changes to the attack surface, new findings, shifts in vendor risk, brand and identity threats, and pending assessment activity.
This gives security teams a focused view of what has changed, why it matters and what may require further investigation.
RiskProfiler MCP Connector Availability
The RiskProfiler MCP Connector is expected to initially support Claude. Integrations for OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google Gemini are planned to follow.
RiskProfiler noted that the product scope and integration timelines remain subject to final confirmation.
AI-Assisted Threat Intelligence for Security Investigations
With the RiskProfiler MCP Connector, authorized users can use natural-language interactions to explore external threat and exposure intelligence available through the RiskProfiler platform. The connector is designed to complement existing RiskProfiler capabilities while providing security teams with another way to investigate attack-surface changes, third-party risk, credential exposure and other external security signals.
Leadership Quote
“Security teams need to move quickly from identifying a potential issue to understanding its relevance to the business. A conversational way to explore external risk intelligence can reduce time spent navigating disparate data and help analysts focus on investigation, prioritization, and informed action,” said Setu Parimi, co-founder and CTO of RiskProfiler.
