Ubisoft and Netflix Join Hands To Expand Exclusive Games

The well-known video-streaming service Netflix and Ubisoft made the announcement on Monday that they will be working together to develop 3 smartphone games for Netflix based on well-known gaming brands starting in 2023. The three games will expand upon the existing universes of Valiant Hearts, Mighty Quest, & Assassin’s Creed, and only Netflix subscribers around the world will have access to them on their mobile devices. There will be no advertisements or in-app purchases available within the games. As per IANS, Netflix Vice President for Games Mike Verdu stated that the company is pleased to join with Ubisoft because of the latter company’s unrivaled track record of creating unique settings for consumers.

Collaboration Between Netflix and Ubisoft

The original core team is in charge of developing the next Valiant Hearts game, which is a follow-up to Ubisoft’s critically acclaimed and award-winning Valiant Hearts: The Great War. The new game will have the same DNA as its predecessor, but it will have a different storyline. Subscribers to Netflix will be able to watch it beginning in January 2023. Netflix is planning to debut The Mighty Quest in the year 2023. This time around, the game will borrow elements from the rogue-like subgenre in order to create an experience that is both first and immensely replayable, while still paying homage to the series’ initial hack-and-slash battles.

Fans of Assassin’s Creed will get more than one opportunity to involve themselves in the Assassin’s Creed world on Netflix, as the company has announced that in addition to the live-action series that was announced earlier, a whole new mobile game will be built just for Netflix. Ubisoft’s Chief Mobile Officer, Jean-Michel Detoc, stated that the company is overjoyed to be working with a partner that is as original and creative as Netflix in order to continue providing outstanding experiences across all platforms.
