In the second quarter of 2023, Truecaller had an average of 289.3 million daily active users, with a peak of 300 million recorded on September 5th. The company acknowledges that daily active user numbers can vary depending on factors like weekdays.
The growth of Truecaller can be attributed to the introduction of various new features on both its iOS and Android platforms over the past year. This growth has been particularly strong in regions such as India, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, in addition to established markets.
While Truecaller is known for its core features like call identification and spam blocking, the continual introduction of innovative features based on user feedback has allowed the app to expand its user base beyond its primary market, India.
Truecaller’s recent growth can also be attributed to enhancements on the iOS platform, including the introduction of an AI-backed call assistant that streamlines call handling and improves communication efficiency. Additionally, the app has integrated advanced features like call recording and SMS fraud protection, providing users with greater control and confidence in their communications.
