Bybit has opened registration for the 2026 edition of its flagship global trading competition, the World Series of Trading (WSOT). Eligible traders worldwide can register, create or join squads and participate in the Preheat Quest for a chance to win rewards from a maximum prize pool of 10 million USDT.
Registration opened on October 29, 2026, at 10 AM UTC. The competition will conclude on December 2, 2026, at 10 AM UTC, with winners scheduled to be announced from December 3.
This year’s edition follows the theme The World Trades Here and expands the competition beyond cryptocurrency. It introduces two new arenas, Global Assets and AI P&L Showdown, alongside the existing Squad and Individual Showdowns.
WSOT 2026 Adds Global Assets and AI Trading Competitions
The 2026 edition reflects Bybit’s expansion into multi-asset trading, allowing participants to compete across cryptocurrency, stocks, gold, oil and indices.
Global Assets Showdown
The new Global Assets category features two volume-based leaderboards.
The Spot leaderboard covers cryptocurrency and stock spot trading, where available. The TradFi Perps leaderboard includes perpetual contracts linked to stocks, gold, oil and indices.
AI P&L Showdown
The AI P&L Showdown introduces a dedicated leaderboard for traders using Bybit AI sub-accounts or general AI sub-accounts. Participants will be ranked based on their profit and loss (P&L) performance.
Bybit AI will also serve as a competition assistant on the WSOT page. It can help users understand competition rules, tasks and tracks, while providing updates on squad and individual rankings.
Preheat Quest
The Preheat Quest will run throughout the campaign and feature trading tasks across five arenas: New & Invite, Spot, Derivatives, TradFi and Bybit AI.
Participants can complete tasks in these categories to unlock rewards during the competition.
Squad Leaders and Members Can Earn Early Bird Rewards
WSOT 2026 also introduces rewards designed to encourage squad formation and participation.
The first 100 qualified squads will earn their leaders 100 USDT each. The first 20 TradFi squad leaders will receive 500 USDT each, while the first 200 qualified squad leaders will earn 50 USDT each.
Squad members can also earn rewards by inviting other traders to join their teams, extending the incentive beyond squad leaders.
The competition’s Squad Showdown will distribute rewards according to a defined structure. Squad leaders receive 20% of the squad’s reward, the top 10 members share 20%, and all eligible members share the remaining 60%.
The Individual Showdown will rank participants across three weight classes: Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight.
WSOT 2026 Competition Schedule
The five-week competition will unfold in four main stages, with different arenas opening throughout the campaign.

Squad formation also has specific deadlines. Squad creation closes on November 11 at 10 AM UTC, and squads must have at least 10 members by November 12 at 9:30 AM UTC. Traders can join a squad until November 19 at 10 AM UTC.
How to Register for Bybit WSOT 2026
Eligible participants can register through the official WSOT 2026 website. Bybit has not set a minimum equity requirement for registration.
After registering, traders can apply to become squad leaders or join existing squads through invitation links, squad searches or recommended teams. Participants can also choose to compete individually without joining a squad.
To qualify for the P&L and P&L% leaderboards, traders must maintain at least 100 USDT in their Unified Trading Account for five minutes.
Each participant can compete using one main account and up to six sub-accounts, including AI sub-accounts. Traders can participate in a squad and compete individually at the same time, or choose individual participation only.
WSOT 2026 Eligibility and Restrictions
Participation is subject to Bybit’s eligibility requirements and applicable checks. Professional users, market makers and institutional users are not eligible for the competition.
The event is also unavailable to residents of the European Economic Area and other restricted regions.
Bybit Builds on WSOT 2025 Participation Record
The 2026 competition follows a record-breaking edition in 2025. According to Bybit, WSOT 2025 attracted 520,451 participants from around the world and saw the formation of 1,474 squads.
It also secured a Guinness World Records title after 71,765 participants joined within 24 hours.
With the addition of stock, commodity and AI trading categories, WSOT 2026 aims to expand its reach beyond crypto traders. The maximum prize pool of 10 million USDT will unlock as total trading volume increases, meaning the final prize pool will depend on participant activity.
Trading involves financial risk. Participants should review the official competition rules, eligibility conditions and product risks before taking part.
