BD Soft Plans to Add 50+ Cybersecurity Channel Partners in Maharashtra

BD Software, also known as BD Soft, plans to onboard more than 50 new channel partners in Maharashtra as it expands its cybersecurity distribution network across the state. The expansion will focus on the IT, manufacturing and banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sectors, where businesses increasingly depend on connected infrastructure, sensitive data and digital operations.

Announced in Mumbai on October 12, 2026, the expansion comes amid growing digital adoption across Maharashtra’s business ecosystem, including enterprises, small businesses and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Maharashtra Emerges as a Key Market for Cybersecurity Solutions

Maharashtra has around 87.4 lakh registered MSMEs, accounting for 13.2% of India’s registered MSME base, according to BD Soft. The state’s business ecosystem includes financial services, IT, automotive, manufacturing, healthcare and logistics, alongside a large SME and MSME base.

As businesses across major cities, emerging business centres and industrial hubs adopt cloud platforms, connected systems and digital infrastructure, their cybersecurity requirements are becoming more complex.

BD Soft will prioritise the IT, manufacturing and BFSI sectors as part of its expansion, citing their reliance on connected infrastructure, sensitive information and digitally enabled operations.

BD Soft Offers a Portfolio of 20+ Technology Solutions

BD Soft provides more than 20 technology solutions covering cybersecurity, identity, cloud, email security, data security and PDF solutions.

Its portfolio includes Bitdefender, Axidian, PrahiX, ePompto, miniOrange and Foxit. Through its expanded channel network, the company aims to improve access to these technology solutions for enterprises, SMEs and MSMEs across Maharashtra.

New Channel Partners to Receive Technical Training and Sales Support

As part of the expansion, BD Soft plans to strengthen partner capabilities through access to its technology portfolio, technical training and certifications. The company will also provide pre-sales and sales support to help channel partners develop their expertise and expand their offerings.

These measures are intended to help partners address evolving cybersecurity requirements across different industries while extending BD Soft’s reach into additional cities and emerging business markets in Maharashtra.

BD Soft Continues Its Channel-First Growth Strategy

BD Soft serves more than 1.5 million users through its partner network. Its expansion in Maharashtra is part of a channel-first growth strategy focused on increasing geographic reach, strengthening partner capabilities and building a deeper market presence.

By onboarding more than 50 new channel partners, the company aims to expand access to cybersecurity and related technology solutions across Maharashtra’s enterprise, SME and MSME segments.

Leadership Comment

Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Devendra Saraf, Regional Business Head, BD Software Distribution Pvt. Ltd., said, “As we look at our next phase of growth, strengthening our presence in key regional markets will be an important part of our broader channel strategy. Maharashtra will be a key focus area as we invest in deeper partner engagement, build stronger regional capabilities and create a more connected cybersecurity ecosystem. We see significant potential to work with partners who understand the local business landscape and can help bring the right security capabilities to organisations across the state.”
