MeitY has launched a new technology called Air Quality Monitoring System

The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has unveiled the Air Quality Monitoring System (AI-AQMS v1.0) technology, which will monitor environmental pollutants including PM 1.0, PM 2.5, PM 10.0, Sulfur dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen dioxide (NO2), Carbon monoxide (CO), Oxygen (O2), ambient temperature, relative humidity, and other parameters for continuous analysis of air quality in the environment.

In collaboration with TeXMIN, ISM, Dhanbad, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in Kolkata has created an outdoor air quality monitoring station as part of the national program on electronic and ICT applications in agriculture and the environment, to monitor pollutants in the air.

The Air Quality Monitoring System (AI-AQMS v1.0) developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in Kolkata will soon be available for a wider market as the technology has been transferred to JM EnviroLab for commercialization and deployment in various mining and cement industries.

The transfer of technology agreement for the Air Quality Monitoring System (AI-AQMS v1.0) was signed in the presence of officials such as Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Bhuvnesh Kumar, Additional Secretary, MeitY, Sunita Verma, Group Coordinator, MeitY, and Naveen Kumar Vidyarthi, Director (IT), MoEFCC.
