Akhilesh Chopra: One of the most popular consumer goods right now is the smartwatch. There are several high-quality smartwatches available today, and a few major companies have established themselves as leaders. However, some people are still unsure of what these smartwatches are, which advertise as a more intelligent substitute for conventional watches. But because there is such a high demand for them, there are different types of smartwatches on the market, and they all have unique features.

Customer needs can be classified on the basis of customers of the market demographics:

  • Price- Customers generally set their budgets for any product purchase.
  • Features- Customers look for features that would solve their problems and reliability in functioning while using the product.
  • Effectiveness- The product should be effective in streamlining the process to save time
  • Empathy- Customers stick to brands that serve them with an empathetic attitude.

Prateek: How has the market experience for Bluei in India so far, in terms of high competition, market penetration, and local business conditions?

Akhilesh Chopra: The experience has been fantastic thus far, but as soon as you enter the market, you must constantly learn new things, as it was the case for us. Delivering high-caliber, technologically advanced items to our consumers is always our top priority. Since the beginning, customer satisfaction has always been our top priority. Our goals help us overcome the difficulties that occasionally arise on our path.

Prateek: Solar smartwatches are the future, do you agree with this? Do you anticipate disrupting this with your own brand? What developments in the smartwatch market are you following?

Akhilesh Chopra: For smartwatches, battery life is a key performance indicator. Many of today’s wearables have a fairly short battery life, especially those that require a lot of processing power and Internet connectivity. Companies are investigating different battery sources as a result. Our R&D and engineering team is working on solar technology. Energy harvesting, which turns body heat, solar energy, and even movement into electricity, is one of the most well-liked techniques. This would completely disrupt the wearables industry if it were to become the standard. Users wouldn’t have to stress about the battery dying at inappropriate times or the inconvenience of needing to recharge it frequently. Wearables might increase in popularity in the future by solving these issues.

Prateek: Being a growing tech accessory company, expansion of your market reach is a must, So, what is your ‘Go-to-Market Strategy’ for that?

Akhilesh Chopra: Our ‘Go to Marketing- Strategy’ for the expansion of the brand has been building a network. By contacting individuals in many states, we are expanding our network on a continual basis. For jobs like Area Sales Manager (ASM), Territory Sales Manager (TSM), and Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM), which manage certain states, zones, and territories and foster relationships there, we hire employees. In addition to this, we conduct dealer meetings in various regions of India and meet individuals one-on-one to interact with as many people as possible.
