Infosys Just Won Five-Year Aerospace Engineering Contract From The Spirit Aerosystems

Infosys, The Indian company has signed a contract with the American company Spirit AeroSystems for the provision of aerostructure & systems engineering services for the product development of business jet, commercial, & emerging aircraft programs, and overhaul (MRO) services. 

This strategic agreement further reinforces our strengths and will leverage mutual synergies to accelerate the development of world-class, sustainable aerostructures and services across our commercial and aftermarket business segments,” said senior vice president & chief engineer Sean Black, technology and engineering, Spirit AeroSystems.

The agreement is for a period of five years. According to the statement released by the company, Infosys will be providing sustaining engineering, design engineering, systems engineering, production engineering, stress engineering, as well as repair & maintenance services.

According to the company itself, Infosys has partnerships with 7 of the top 10 aerospace companies in the world. “With our investments in aerostructure engineering and next-gen technologies like artificial intelligence and cloud, we are confident of delivering compelling value to Spirit and take our collaboration to newer heights,” EVP & global head of manufacturing at Infosys, Jasmeet Singh, said in the firm’s statement.
