Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has raised ₹7 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The company plans to use the funds to advance its product capabilities, launch enterprise-grade AI security frameworks and accelerate its market presence in India and the US.
Zaperon Builds Cybersecurity Platform for Agentic AI
Zaperon is building a unified cybersecurity platform for the Agentic AI era. The platform is designed to secure the expanding ecosystem of human and non-human identities.
The company brings identity security, data security and AI governance together on a single platform. This enables enterprises to control how users, applications and AI agents access and interact with sensitive data and cloud infrastructure.
Unified Security Approach for Enterprises
Zaperon’s unified approach is designed to help organizations replace fragmented security controls with consistent policies across their digital and AI environments.
The platform focuses on identity- and context-aware policies, allowing enterprises to manage access to sensitive data and cloud infrastructure across users, applications and AI agents.
Zaperon Serves Multiple Enterprise Sectors
Zaperon’s enterprise client base spans banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and government sectors.
These industries have a strong focus on protecting sensitive data and controlling access to critical systems as part of their security and compliance requirements.
Zaperon has also received industry recognition, with the company being recognised by Nasscom and MeitY among the most innovative cybersecurity products.
Zaperon Founders Bring Two Decades of Experience
Zaperon was founded in 2021 by Vineet Gupta and Sachin Aggarwal, who were MBA classmates and have more than two decades of experience across product engineering, corporate strategy and management consulting.
Vineet Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, has held product and engineering roles at VMware, Juniper Networks and Norton. At Zaperon, he leads product development and business strategy.
Sachin Aggarwal, Co-Founder and COO, has worked across corporate strategy and consulting with KPMG, POSCO and Kia Motors. He leads business operations, sales and marketing at Zaperon.
Identity and Data Security Markets See Growing Opportunity
Zaperon operates at the intersection of identity security and data security. The company estimates that the global opportunity across these converging markets is currently worth US$16 billion and is projected to reach US$35 billion by 2030.
According to Zaperon, the growth is being driven largely by the rapid adoption of AI agents and increasing incidents of data leakage involving non-human identities accessing enterprise applications and sensitive data.
Funding to Support Zaperon’s AI Security Expansion
With the new ₹7 crore seed funding, Zaperon plans to strengthen its product capabilities, introduce enterprise-grade AI security frameworks and expand its presence across India and the US.
The funding comes as Zaperon continues to focus on securing identities, data and AI-driven interactions across enterprise digital environments.
Leadership Comments
Minal Shah, Principal – Southeast Asia, IPV, says, “As enterprises move from experimenting with AI to deploying AI agents across critical workflows, securing the identities, access, and data associated with these systems is becoming increasingly important. Zaperon is addressing this shift with a unified approach to identity and data security, backed by its experience working with enterprises across security-sensitive sectors. We see an opportunity for Zaperon to build on this foundation, strengthen its AI security capabilities and expand its presence across global markets.”
Commenting on the investment, Vineet Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, Zaperon, said, “Our vision is to build the world’s leading unified cybersecurity platform that protects enterprises from data breaches involving both human and non-human identities. We aim to make enterprise security more effective, accessible, and scalable, while enabling organisations globally to confidently adopt AI without compromising security. We are grateful to IPV for believing in our vision and for guiding us through a structured and thoughtful fundraising process, an experience that has helped us strengthen our strategic approach and prepare Zaperon for its next phase of growth.”
