Bybit Expands Beyond Crypto With Stock Trading, Payments and AI Tools

Bybit is expanding beyond cryptocurrency trading with new offerings across traditional financial markets, stocks, pre-IPO investments, payments and artificial intelligence. The company outlined its latest developments during the biannual Keynote with Ben session, where co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou discussed its vision for building what it calls The New Financial Platform.

Announced on October 14, 2026, the updates highlight Bybit’s efforts to bring digital assets and traditional financial products together within a single platform. The company has also highlighted its investments in security, regulatory compliance and AI-powered services.

Bybit Expands Stock Trading With Access to Over 1,000 US Stocks and ETFs

Bybit entered traditional finance in 2022 with contracts for difference (CFDs). According to the company, it has since become the largest crypto CFD platform, with trading volume reaching as much as $100 billion at its peak.

On October 12, Bybit expanded its traditional market offerings by launching stock trading for eligible users. The service provides access to more than 1,000 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with trading available using USDC.

The offering supports fractional shares and 24/5 access across US pre-market, regular and after-hours trading sessions.

Bybit Plans to Launch Tokenised Stocks Through mStocks

Bybit is developing mStocks in collaboration with Mantle, with a launch targeted for November. The proposed tokenised stock product is designed to be backed 1:1 by real stocks.

The planned offering aims to support round-the-clock conversion between eligible stocks and mStocks on Bybit, alongside decentralised exchange trading through automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools on Mantle.

Bybit also expects converted mStocks to be transferable to its Unified Trading Account (UTA), where they could be used as trading collateral, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

IPO Express Extends Bybit’s Access to Pre-IPO Opportunities

Bybit launched IPO Express in June, giving eligible users access to selected initial public offering (IPO) opportunities at the offering price through tokenised representations of the underlying securities.

The service launched with SpaceX and is designed to extend the platform’s investment offerings beyond secondary-market trading into selected primary-market opportunities.

Bybit Expands Its TradFi Products Across Multiple Markets

Bybit’s traditional finance portfolio now spans more than 600 products across equities, ETFs, indices, commodities and foreign exchange (FX). The company has also expanded into perpetual contracts, pre-market products and options.

According to Bybit, its TradFi perpetual products have recorded more than $180 billion in trading volume. Recent additions include Forex Perps and Perp Options, which the company describes as an industry-first options product built on TradFi perpetuals.

Bybit is also developing new perpetual products linked to AI computing and commodities, further expanding its range of financial instruments beyond conventional cryptocurrency markets.

Bybit Pay and Bybit Card Expand Payments Services

Beyond trading and investing, Bybit is expanding its payments infrastructure through Bybit Pay and Bybit Card. These services support crypto and fiat transfers, merchant payments and everyday spending.

The company says its payments network connects users with more than 5,000 merchants across over 15 countries. Supported services include transfers to bank accounts and e-wallets, QR payments and other payment options.

Bybit has also issued more than 4 million Bybit Cards, extending the platform’s use beyond financial markets into payments and daily transactions.

Bybit Reports Over $700 Million in Potential Losses Prevented

Security and compliance remain part of Bybit’s expansion strategy. The company reported that it intercepted more than 30,000 suspicious withdrawal requests during the first half of 2026, helping protect users from more than $700 million in potential losses.

Bybit also secured five new licences and regulatory approvals across the European Union, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, South Africa and El Salvador during 2026. The company said these developments support its expansion across markets, subject to local requirements.

Bybit AI Introduces Conversational Financial Assistance

In September, Bybit launched Bybit AI, a conversational assistant designed to support users with trading, account management and customer service.

The company plans to develop the assistant further as part of its broader financial services platform. The launch reflects Bybit’s efforts to integrate AI-powered tools into the user experience alongside its trading, investment and payment offerings.

Bybit’s New Financial Platform Moves Beyond Cryptocurrency

Bybit’s latest developments bring together cryptocurrency markets, stocks and ETFs, derivatives, commodities, foreign exchange, selected pre-IPO opportunities, payments and AI-powered services.

The company’s stated focus is to integrate these capabilities within a single platform while expanding market access, product options and the technology infrastructure supporting its services.

With its latest product launches and planned additions, Bybit is positioning The New Financial Platform as the next stage of its expansion beyond cryptocurrency trading into a broader range of financial markets and services.
