Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ in India. Both smartphones come in Aqua Blue, Classic Black, and Sea Green colors with a 4GB/64GB configuration. The Redmi A2 also offers a 2GB/32GB variant. The Redmi A2 is priced at INR6,299 ($75/€70) for the 2GB/32GB model and INR7,999 ($95/€90) for the 4GB/64GB model. The Redmi A2+ with 4GB/64GB configuration is priced at INR8,499 ($100/€95).
These smartphones will be available for purchase in India starting from May 23rd through various channels, including Xiaomi’s official Indian website, Amazon.in, Mi Home, and retail partners. Additionally, Xiaomi provides a 2-year warranty for both devices, ensuring longevity and customer satisfaction.
The Redmi A2 and A2+ are similar smartphones, with the A2+ featuring a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Both devices are equipped with the Helio G36 SoC, run Android 13 (Go Edition) as the operating system, and sport 6.52″ HD+ LCD displays.
These smartphones are powered by 5,000 mAh batteries, which can be charged via microUSB at speeds of up to 10W. Both the Redmi A2 and A2+ feature 8MP primary cameras on the rear, accompanied by depth sensors for enhanced photography capabilities. Additionally, they are equipped with 5MP front-facing cameras to capture stunning selfies.
