Analog Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADI) has announced a strategic collaboration with TSMC, the global leader in dedicated semiconductor foundry services, to secure long-term wafer capacity. This arrangement involves leveraging Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing, Inc. (“JASM”), a majority-owned subsidiary of TSMC located in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.
This partnership builds upon ADI’s extensive 30-year relationship with TSMC, providing an additional avenue for securing fine-pitch technology nodes essential for critical platforms across ADI’s business segments. These platforms include wireless Battery Management Systems (wBMS) and Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL™) applications. Through this collaboration, ADI reinforces its robust hybrid manufacturing network, designed to mitigate external disruptions while enhancing the ability to expand production rapidly in response to customer demands.
