XENON Systems Enhances Offerings with Quantum Myriad™

Quantum Corporation (NASDAQ: QMCO) has announced that XENON Systems, a leading specialist in high-performance computing and complex data storage, has acquired Quantum Myriad™, an all-flash, scale-out file and object storage software platform. XENON will integrate Myriad into its portfolio to cater to customers with data-intensive workloads across various sectors, including life sciences, medical research, and engineering, requiring high-speed infrastructure for AI models and multi-variant simulations. This acquisition complements XENON’s existing offering of Quantum ActiveScale™ object storage, allowing customers to build secure, low-cost private storage clouds for rapid and secure data access.

Addressing Complex Compute and Data Management Challenges

XENON specializes in solving complex parallel compute problems and large-scale data management workflows, serving customers in industries such as life sciences, research, and high-performance computing. With a growing demand for AI-driven solutions, XENON recognized the need for ultra-fast and powerful storage solutions to fuel these demanding workloads and GPU-based applications.

Innovative Features of Quantum Myriad™

XENON identified Myriad’s innovative architecture, designed to deliver high performance at any scale using the latest flash technologies. Myriad offers inline data services like deduplication, compression, snapshots, and clones, accelerating AI/ML data processing. Leveraging cloud technologies such as microservices and Kubernetes®, Myriad delivers cloud simplicity without the need for custom hardware. XENON plans to showcase the capabilities of the Myriad system at upcoming tradeshows and use it for customer demonstrations.

Meeting the Needs of AI Workloads and Long-term Data Protection

AI workloads and GPUs demand both high-speed processing and long-term data protection. Myriad, along with ActiveScale, addresses these requirements by providing a comprehensive solution for the entire data lifecycle, from production workloads to long-term data retention.
