BorgWarner is set to unveil its latest electrification products at the Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) 2024, scheduled to take place at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Center from January 23 to 25, 2024. The showcased products will be exhibited at booths 238 and 241 in zone C of the exhibition area, focusing on high-voltage drivetrain innovation, encompassing eMotors, inverters, drive modules, and battery systems. BorgWarner will also highlight advanced thermal management solutions, featuring high-voltage eFans, as well as air and coolant heaters for enhanced efficiency in electric commercial vehicles.
Sudhir Kumar Chawla, Managing Director of BorgWarner Emissions Systems India said, “BorgWarner’s electrification portfolio is well represented at this year’s SIAT Expo. SIAT is an opportunity for visitors to gain insights into BorgWarner’s vision for electrified mobility and see our latest products and technological advances.”
The BorgWarner booth will prominently feature high-voltage product developments, showcasing the latest 800V inverter utilizing Viper silicon carbide power modules, optimizing conduction and reducing switching losses by up to 70% compared to silicon-based technology. Additionally, the high-voltage hairpin eMotor HVH320, designed for both on- and off-highway commercial vehicles, will be on display, boasting exceptional power density with peak efficiency exceeding 97%. BorgWarner’s integrated drive module iDM220, a modular platform customizable for specific applications, will address power requirements ranging from 150 to 250kW in 400V systems and up to 500kW in 800V configurations.
The BorgWarner booth will also showcase thermal management solutions, including high-voltage coolant heaters, high-voltage air heaters, and an array of eFans tailored for cost-effective cooling in electric commercial vehicles. The display will encompass eCoolers for power electronics and intercell battery thermal management.
Additionally, BorgWarner will spotlight DC fast chargers, the 9AKM 150CYC battery system employing cylindrical cell (CYC) battery modules for high energy density in long-range applications, and the electric torque-vectoring disconnect (eTVD) unit, combining torque vectoring and disconnect functions to minimize energy losses compared to typical twin motor layouts.
