ASUS ProArt Display PA32UCXR Unveiled, World’s First 1600-nit Mini LED Monitor

ASUS has announced the upcoming availability of the Asus ProArt Display PA32UCXR, a groundbreaking 32-inch 4K monitor equipped with mini LED backlighting. The monitor, set to hit shelves in January 2024, boasts an impressive 2304-zone local dimming, a peak brightness of 1600 nits, and sustained brightness of up to 1000 nits. Engineered for post-production workflows, it features a 99% Adobe RGB and 97% DCI-P3 gamut, promising ultra-realistic visuals and true-to-life color.

Impressive Mini LED Technology

To address common issues associated with mini LED technology, such as screen flickering, irregular brightness, and a shorter LED lifespan, the ProArt Display PA32UCXR stands out with its remarkable 2304-zone local dimming. This advanced technology employs numerous control ICs to independently manage backlighting zones, minimizing onscreen flicker during transitions and ensuring high levels of sustained brightness. The monitor achieves an industry-leading 1000 nits of full-screen sustained brightness, delivering outstanding contrast and improved HDR image quality.

True-to-Life Colors and Calibration Innovations

The PA32UCXR surpasses industry color reproduction standards with its 99% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, 100% Rec. 709, and 87% Rec. 2020 color gamut. The true 10-bit IPS panel showcases more than 1.07 billion colors, providing content creators with a vast color spectrum. The monitor is factory pre-calibrated for Delta E<1 color accuracy, and it features a built-in motorized flip colorimeter with Auto Calibration and Self Calibration functionalities for added convenience.

Intuitive Calibration and Connectivity

For intuitive calibration, the PA32UCXR incorporates a built-in motorized colorimeter compatible with any OS, eliminating the need for additional calibration software. The monitor supports dual Thunderbolt™ 4 ports, DisplayPort™ 1.4, two HDMI® 2.0 ports, an earphone jack, and a USB hub for seamless connectivity. The inclusion of dual Thunderbolt 4 ports allows for up to 90W Power Delivery to charge devices and daisy-chain multiple displays through a single port.

HDR Support and Efficient Workflows ProArt Display PA32UCXR Mini LED Monitor
