Agartala is set to witness a significant step towards fostering skill development and employment opportunities as Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Electronics & IT, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, is all set to inaugurate the ambitious project, “Heartland Tripura.” This skill development initiative is a collaborative effort between Deloitte and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), and it is poised to provide valuable training and employment avenues for undergraduate students in both engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
The official inauguration of “Heartland Tripura” is scheduled to take place at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries. Among those gracing the occasion is Km. Pratima Bhoumik, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, who will serve as the guest of honor. Smt Santana Chakma, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Jail (Home), and Welfare of OBCs, Government of Tripura, will also be in attendance as a special guest.
“Heartland Tripura” marks a collaborative effort between Deloitte and NIELIT, Agartala, with the full backing of the Government of India and the Government of Tripura. The project aims to offer specific skill development certification courses through NIELIT-Agartala, ensuring that a broader spectrum of professional development skills is covered. These courses encompass cutting-edge technical fields like cybersecurity, internal audit, analytics, as well as essential soft skills such as business communication and executive presence.
Select participants in the “Heartland Tripura” project will have the opportunity to engage in internships, paving the way for promising job prospects upon the successful completion of certification and internship requirements.
This remarkable initiative is poised to play a pivotal role in enhancing the skill development landscape in Tripura, providing students with contemporary skills that align with the ever-evolving job market.
Union Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who last visited Agartala in June to assess the progress of the International Railway Station at Charipara, is once again making a substantial contribution towards the development and empowerment of the region. The inauguration of “Heartland Tripura” underscores the government’s commitment to nurturing the talents of young students and fostering a vibrant employment ecosystem in the state.
