Xiaomi’s Entry into India’s Smart TV Market: From AOSP-Based Software in First Three Models to Present Day.
Xiaomi, after using Android TV and recently releasing its first Fire TV-based television in India, is now gearing up to launch its maiden Google TV-powered television in the country. The Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series will be unveiled at Xiaomi India’s Smarter Living 2023 event on April 13.
Promoted as ‘Designed by Xiaomi. Powered by Google.’, the upcoming TV is expected to feature a sleek metal bezel-less design with a larger screen-to-body ratio. It will boast a 4K panel with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision IQ, providing a high-quality visual experience.
In terms of audio, the Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series is said to house powerful 40W speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, delivering immersive sound. Additionally, the TV will come with a voice-control-enabled Bluetooth remote control for convenient and easy operation.
While the brand has not yet revealed the available sizes, it is anticipated that the Xiaomi Smart TV X Pro series will likely come in multiple sizes, following the pattern of last year’s Xiaomi Smart TV X series. This may include options such as 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch models, providing consumers with a range of choices to suit their preferences and needs.
