Xiaomi’s Lu Weibing, the Redmi General Manager and President of Xiaomi Group, has disclosed in a recent Weibo discussion that the release of Xiaomi Pad 6 is forthcoming. Meanwhile, Wang Hua, another Xiaomi executive, has announced the imminent release of Xiaomi 13 Ultra this month. This has sparked speculations about a potential joint launch event for both Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi 13 Ultra. An online store screenshot that has been circulating online suggests that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available for release at 7:00 PM on April 18.
XIAOMI PAD 6 SPECIFICATIONS
Xiaomi Pad 6 series will feature two versions – regular and Pro, with the former equipped with Snapdragon 870 SoC and the latter with Snapdragon 8+ Gen SoC. The SD 8+ Gen 1 SoC is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and consists of Cortex-X2 + 3 Cortex-A710 + 4 Cortex-A510. These cores operate at frequencies of 3.19GHz, 2.75GHz, and 2.02GHz respectively. According to the official announcement, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 consumes 15% less power than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Furthermore, the CPU and GPU power consumption is reduced by 30%, making it a significant improvement over the SD8 Gen 1 SoC.
As per popular Weibo tech blogger @DCS, both models of Xiaomi Pad 6 series will feature a Chinese screen that supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Along with the flagship SoC, the tablet will boast a 2.8K LCD screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1800p and a high refresh rate of 120 or 144 Hz. The tablet will also sport a rear dual-camera module and a powerful 10,000 mAh battery that supports 67W rapid charging. Users can expect additional features such as a physical fingerprint sensor, a new keyboard, and a stylus. Interestingly, the camera module on Xiaomi Pad 6 will have a similar style to the flagship Xiaomi 13.
