Xiaomi, the leading smartphone brand in India, has announced a partnership with Vodafone Idea (Vi) to provide seamless 5G experience to its customers. Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users will be able to enjoy enhanced data experience on Vi 5G once the services are launched by the operator. A total of 18 devices from Xiaomi and Redmi portfolio have been successfully tested on Vi 5G and will support the network post FOTA updates. The enabled devices include some of the most popular smartphones such as Mi 11 Ultra, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. Once Vi launches its 5G network commercially, the users will just have to change the preferred network settings from 4G to 5G to enjoy a high-speed internet experience.

But when will Vodafone launch 5G services in India?
Vodafone Idea (Vi) had not announced a specific date for the commercial launch of 5G services in India. However, they are reportedly working on 5G trials with various equipment vendors and planning to launch 5G services in a phased manner once they receive the necessary spectrum and government approvals. Given the partnership with smartphone giant Xioami, we can expect the 5G roll out by Vodafone soon.
