Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) has announced the appointment of Uday Odedra as the Head of Wells Fargo in India and the Philippines. Uday will report directly to David Owen, the Head of Global Operations.
David Owen expressed his pleasure at welcoming Uday to the Wells Fargo leadership team, emphasizing the critical role that the India and Philippines teams play in the bank’s operations. He said, “I am pleased to welcome Uday to the Wells Fargo leadership team. Our India and Philippines teams are a critical part of the bank’s business and under Uday’s leadership, we will continue to strengthen our operations in the region.”
Uday brings a wealth of experience in the global financial services sector, encompassing international business leadership, technology, and data strategy, gained during his tenure at UBS AG spanning more than 25 years. His diverse roles at UBS include serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Asia.
Uday holds a bachelor’s degree in computing information systems from Birmingham City University in the U.K.
