Videotex International Partners with Samsung to Manufacture Smart TVs Powered by Tizen OS in India

Videotex International Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s leading television ODMs, has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung to locally manufacture Smart TVs powered by Samsung Tizen OS at its state-of-the-art facilities in Greater Noida. The collaboration combines Samsung’s advanced operating system with Videotex’s design, development, and manufacturing expertise, promising Indian consumers smarter, more intuitive viewing experiences while strengthening the government’s “Make in India” initiative.

Expanding Videotex’s Smart TV Manufacturing Portfolio

With this partnership, Videotex expands its already robust portfolio of smart TV solutions, cementing its position as a premier ODM in India. The company, already the largest ODM for webOS Hub-operated TVs in the country, adds Samsung Tizen OS to its capabilities—broadening its offering and allowing partner brands to deliver a wider range of next-generation Smart TVs to Indian households.

Advanced Features of Tizen-Powered TVs

The upcoming lineup of Samsung Tizen OS-powered televisions will be available in a wide range of sizes—from 32-inch to 75-inch screens—and formats, including HD, FHD, UHD/4K, QLED, and MiniLED. Equipped with Tizen OS, consumers will benefit from:

  • Advanced content discovery tools for a seamless user experience.
  • Samsung TV Plus with free ad-supported streaming channels (FAST).
  • Bixby voice assistant for hands-free navigation.
  • SmartThings connectivity, enabling multi-device control and integration across the Samsung ecosystem.

Videotex’s Manufacturing Strength

Videotex International currently manufactures televisions for leading Indian and global brands such as Havells Group (Lloyd), Reliance Group (BPL and Reconnect), Vijay Sales (Vise), Daiwa, and over 25 other brands. Its Greater Noida facilities are equipped with automated assembly lines, R&D labs, injection moulding units, and advanced quality testing systems, ensuring innovation at scale and adherence to global quality benchmarks.

Reinforcing “Make in India” Leadership

This collaboration not only boosts domestic smart TV manufacturing capacity but also reflects Videotex’s commitment to driving innovation within India’s consumer electronics ecosystem. By integrating Samsung’s trusted Tizen OS into its ODM portfolio, Videotex is set to empower brands and deliver world-class viewing experiences to millions of Indian households.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Arjun Bajaj, Director, Videotex said, “Our collaboration with Samsung brings together cutting-edge Tizen OS technology and Videotex’s expertise in design and development as an ODM. This synergy will deliver next-level solutions to the Indian market, offering consumers a premium, intuitive, and immersive entertainment experience.”

Mr. Jooyoung Kim, Corporate VP, Tizen Licensing Group in Visual Display Division, Samsung, added, “We are excited to collaborate with Videotex to expand the reach of Tizen OS in India.
