Despite being barred from selling 5G devices directly, Huawei has found a way to offer 5G connectivity through its partnerships with other companies. These partners, including TD Tech, Wiko, and China Post, sell Huawei phones with 5G capabilities under their own branding. China Post, for instance, has been selling 5G versions of Huawei Nova series handsets. Recent leaks indicate that a new model, called the Hi Nova 11, will be introduced in the near future.
According to images shared by a tipster on Weibo, known as ‘Mr. Pengoeng is here,’ the Hi Nova 11 will be a 5G version of the Huawei Nova 11 and will likely succeed last year’s Hi Nova 10. It remains unclear whether a pro variant will also be released.
The leaked images reveal that the Hi Nova 11 will bear a striking resemblance to the Huawei Nova 11, with a few notable differences. Firstly, it will offer 5G support, but it may lack satellite connectivity. Additionally, it might not feature Kunlun glass for display protection.
The available pictures showcase the Hi Nova 11 in at least two color options, including white and green, while the original Nova 11 offers four color choices, such as black and gold.
Based on the leaked images, the Hi Nova 11 is expected to have a slim body measuring just 6.88mm in thickness. It will likely boast a 60MP front-facing camera, a 50MP rear camera, and support 66W fast-wired charging.
Similar to previous Hi Nova models, the availability of the Hi Nova 11 may be limited to mainland China.
