Uno Minda Limited, a leading player in the Indian auto components sector, has announced a major reduction in prices across its aftermarket product categories, following the GST Council’s recent tax rationalization. The move directly passes on the benefits of reduced GST rates to customers, making quality automotive products more affordable.
GST Rate Cut on Alloy Wheels, Batteries, Car Mats & CNG Kits
As per the reforms, several automotive products that earlier attracted 28% GST will now be taxed at 18%. Key product categories impacted by the rate cut include alloy wheels, batteries, car mats, and CNG kits, among others. Additionally, products that were under the 18% slab have been revised downward to 5% GST, enabling broader savings for consumers.
Effective Price Revisions from September 22, 2025
The revised pricing by Uno Minda’s Aftermarket division has been implemented effective September 22, 2025. The company confirmed that it has fully passed on the benefit of the tax reduction to customers, ensuring that price cuts are directly reflected at the consumer level.
Aligning with GST Council’s 56th Meeting Reforms
The initiative comes in line with the recommendations of the 56th GST Council Meeting, which emphasized rationalizing tax structures to stimulate demand and make products more accessible. With this step, Uno Minda strengthens its position as a customer-first brand while aligning with the government’s efforts to boost the automotive sector through tax relief.
