Thousands of users in India are experiencing difficulties with Microsoft Teams

On Wednesday, an outage of Microsoft Teams left hundreds of thousands of employees unable to access office meetings, disrupting their workflow. However, some users took to social media to make light of the situation and share memes. According to Downdetector.com, various other Microsoft services, including Outlook, Microsoft 365, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Graph, and Azure, were also experiencing issues.

According to Microsoft’s own status website, users are currently experiencing difficulties accessing a variety of services, including Microsoft 365 (formerly known as Office 365). This issue is affecting users globally and preventing them from accessing many of Microsoft’s core services.

Microsoft has attributed the current service disruption to a “potential networking issue” and is currently reviewing data to determine the next steps for troubleshooting. According to the company’s status page, users who are serviced by the affected infrastructure may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services.

Users are reporting that Microsoft’s services, including Microsoft 365 and Teams, are currently experiencing issues and are unresponsive for some users. The company has not yet commented on the cause of the disruption, but some users suspect it may be related to a server issue. The Microsoft Azure cloud, on which the company hosts its services, also appears to be facing difficulties, causing several Microsoft services to go offline, including GitHub social coding. This is not the first time Microsoft services have experienced an outage, with a previous one happening on January 2nd. This outage occurs a week after the company announced layoffs impacting nearly 10,000 employees globally and plans to invest $10 billion in OpenAI.
