The Mass Production of iPhone SE 4 is going to get Postponed or cancelled till 2024: Ming-Chi Kuo

It is predicted that Apple will equip the iPhone SE 4 with a 6.1-inch LCD display. Recent rumours have stated that a 2023 or 2024 release date is in the works for this device from the Cupertino firm. Nonetheless, industry expert Ming-Chi Kuo claims that Apple may decide to shelve the iPhone SE 4 or delay general production until 2024. Reduced demand for mid- & low-end iPhone models like the iPhone SE (2022) as well as iPhone 14 Plus may have prompted the business to consider this move.

As Kuo tweets, “the mass manufacturing plan for the 2024 iPhone SE 4” is “likely to be cancelled or postponed.” The iPhone SE (2022), iPhone 14 Plus, & iPhone 13 mini have apparently had weaker demand than anticipated.

There have been rumors that the next iteration of the iPhone SE could sport a 6.1-inch LCD screen & take design cues from the iPhone XR. Instead of the large bezel design of the previous iPhone SE handsets, a notch and tiny bezels may be implemented. The expert speculates that the price may go up as a result of the larger display size. Apple may have to reevaluate the iPhone 6s’s place in the company’s product line as a result.

The severe COVID-19 lockdown procedures adopted at Apple’s largest manufacturing facility in Zhengzhou, China, have reportedly resulted in supply problems for the iPhone 14 Pro models. However, reports of surging demand for the Pro models contrast with the lackluster reception of the iPhone 14 Plus.

Kuo speculates that the iPhone SE 4 could be scrapped or delayed for reasons other than the decline in demand for cheap iPhone models. To deal with the difficulties brought on by the worldwide economic slump in 2023, Apple may also be trying to halt the creation of needless new products.
