Tech Mahindra and USI Launch India’s First Offshore Development Center in Bengaluru

Tech Mahindra, a leading global provider of technology consulting and digital solutions, has partnered with Universal Scientific Industrial (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (USI), a global leader in electronic design and manufacturing, to launch USI’s first Engineering Offshore Development Center (ODC) in Bengaluru, India. This landmark initiative aims to accelerate innovation in smart device engineering while leveraging Tech Mahindra’s advanced capabilities and India’s robust talent pool.

Aimed at Scalable Solutions and Faster Time-to-Market

The newly established ODC will focus on scalable engineering solutions, faster product launches, and pioneering advancements in connected devices, additive manufacturing, augmented and virtual reality, and connected vehicles. This collaboration enables USI to expand its engineering capabilities to India, emphasizing software development, hardware design, and comprehensive testing for smart devices.

  • Software Development: Modem software, Android telephony, and middleware solutions.
  • Hardware Design: Advanced PCB and device driver engineering.
  • Testing and Development: Focused on accelerating product readiness and innovation.

Tech Mahindra’s expertise in telecom and automotive sectors will bolster USI’s R&D efforts, enhancing modem, RF software, and video bar development capabilities.
