Headphone Zone has reported continued strong demand for the Tangzu Waner 2 Red Lion Limited Edition, an in-ear monitor that has now become Tangzu’s best-selling product. According to the company, the Red Lion edition has sold out within days during each of its three limited-edition drops on Headphone Zone’s platform in 2026, with a fourth release expected soon.
The Red Lion was originally introduced as a limited-edition version of the Waner 2, a budget IEM that Tangzu has been refining since 2023. Each of the three releases this year was intentionally limited in quantity and sold out shortly after launch. Headphone Zone stated that customer inquiries about future availability have remained consistent, while waitlist registrations have continued to grow with every reissue.
Red Lion Edition Features a New Driver and Bass-Focused Tuning
The Tangzu Waner 2 Red Lion Edition is equipped with a new 10mm dynamic driver featuring an enhanced PET diaphragm. Compared to the original Waner 2, the Red Lion offers a warmer sound signature with a fuller low-end response and greater midrange presence.
The earphones are housed in translucent red resin shells and are paired with a color-matched braided cable. The product takes its name from Shangguan Wan’er, the Tang Dynasty poet who served as China’s first female premier.
According to the company, the tuning focuses on warmth, bass impact, and smooth vocal presentation, offering a listening experience designed for long sessions without fatigue.
Accessory Package Sets the Red Lion Apart
Beyond its sound profile, the Red Lion Edition has gained attention for its bundled accessories. Unlike the standard Waner 2, the package includes two sets of eartips, namely Tangzu HE Sonic and Tangzu Sancai, along with a color-matched red braided cable, a silicone carry case, and a cleaning cloth.
The IEM also features a 0.78mm detachable 2-pin connector, allowing users to replace or upgrade the cable over time.
To celebrate the product’s milestone, Tangzu is including an exclusive Red Lion cable strap free with every new order while stocks last. The offer applies globally, including purchases made through Headphone Zone.

The Tangzu Waner 2 Red Lion Edition has been offered through Headphone Zone in three variants. The 3.5mm version without a microphone is priced at ₹2,099, while the 3.5mm version with a microphone is available for ₹2,299. The Type-C version with a microphone is priced at ₹2,499.

Leadership Quote
“Most IEMs in this segment get bought once and forgotten. The Red Lion is the only one in recent memory that audiophiles keep coming back for. Three Limited Edition drops in India, each one sold out within days. Tangzu has just called it their best-selling product, and the hype hasn’t slowed.” – Raghav Somani, Founder and CEO, Headphone Zone.
The Red Lion has been incredibly well received by the audiophile community. A few voices from that community:
“It feels like I’ve been listening to music wrong my whole life. It’s like rediscovering my entire playlist from scratch. It genuinely made me fall in love with music all over again.” – Jyoth Bhoga, Audiophile, Mumbai
“Vocals sound much more natural and detailed, especially in songs by Arijit Singh. Instrument separation is on another level. I can now hear background elements I never noticed before.” – Karan Medhi, Audiophile, Guwahati
“Bass is tight, mids are clean. Vocals feel like they’re right in front of me.” – Devang Khuman, Audiophile, Ahmedabad
