Taboola has announced strong growth for its generative AI answer engine DeeperDive, which has reached nearly 7 million monthly active users just eight months after its launch. The platform is quickly emerging as one of the largest AI-powered answer engines integrated directly into publisher websites.
Transforming Content Discovery with AI
DeeperDive is designed to convert traditional content consumption into an interactive, AI-driven discovery experience. Integrated across major publishers such as Gannett | USA Today Network, India Today, and BuzzFeed Asia, the platform enables readers to ask questions, explore topics in depth, and navigate content more intuitively.
The solution forms a key part of Taboola’s Agentic AI roadmap, focusing on turning passive readers into active participants in content exploration.
Strong Engagement and User Adoption
DeeperDive is seeing significant engagement across categories such as politics, sports, finance, entertainment, and shopping. Around 50 percent of user queries relate to recent events within the past 24 hours, highlighting the platform’s role in real-time information discovery.
Publishers integrating DeeperDive are reporting up to 17 percent user adoption, with nearly 1 in 6 readers actively engaging by asking questions. This marks a major shift from traditional content recirculation rates, which have historically remained in low single digits.
Driving Higher Content Consumption and Ad Conversions
The platform is also reshaping user behavior by increasing content consumption. While users typically read one or two articles per visit, DeeperDive increases the likelihood of continued reading to over 20 percent once users engage with its AI interface.
This deeper engagement has translated into higher advertiser conversion rates across Taboola’s network, making it a valuable tool for both publishers and advertisers.
Data Insights for Editorial Teams
DeeperDive is also providing millions of user-generated questions each month, giving editorial teams direct insights into audience interests. Publishers can access over 10 million monthly queries through the DeeperDive dashboard, enabling them to refine content strategies and prioritize topics that resonate with readers.
Expanding Globally with Multilingual Support
As part of its global expansion, Taboola has introduced DeeperDive support for six additional languages, including French, German, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. The platform is now being adopted by international publishers such as Ouest France, El Nacional, and Ynet.
