Microsoft introduced the Surface Laptop 5 and the Surface Pro 9 2-in-1 tablet in a number of international regions last month. The company is now accepting pre-orders for the gadgets, so they should be available in India soon. The Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Pro 9 are now available for pre-order in India at approved retailers like Amazon.in, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, and several multi-brand stores.
The lowest-priced Surface Laptop 5 starts at Rs 1,07,999, with the most expensive configuration costing Rs 1,90,699. The most expensive option of the Surface Pro 9, however, will set you back Rs 2,69,599.
When you buy a Surface Pro 9, you’ll get a free Surface Pro Keyboard (black) worth Rs. 14,999, and when you buy a Surface Laptop 5, you’ll get a free Surface Pop red Arc Mouse worth Rs. 7,499. On November 29 the smartphones will hit store shelves.
Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 specifications & features
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 is available with a 13.5-inch or 15-inch display. The device’s PixelSense screen can display 2256 x 1504 at 3:2 aspect ratio with 1300:1 contrast ratio and support for Dolby Vision IQ. Windows 11 is already installed on the device.
The 13.5-inch Surface Laptop features an Intel Core i5-1235U/i7-1255U processor, while the 15-inch model has a Core i7-1255U processor. All configurations come with either 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of SSD storage & either 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
The smaller 13.5-inch model has a battery life of up to 18 hours, while the larger 17.3-inch model lasts for up to 17 hours. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm audio connector, a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, and two USB-A ports. In addition, it has two far-field microphones, omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos, support for the Surface Pen, and Windows Hello facial sign-in. The 13.5-inch version also features an Alcantara-covered keyboard.

A 13-inch display with a resolution of 2,880 by 1,920 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 hertz, and a 3:2 aspect ratio are included in the Surface Pro 9. The Intel Alder Lake-U processor—either a Core i5-1235U or a Core i7-1255U—is housed within the device. The device comes with a choice of 8 GB, 16 GB, or 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and storage capacities of 28 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB.
Both Microsoft’s Surface Connect port and the Surface Hello facial recognition system are available in the Surface Pro 9. There are no 3.5 mm headphone jacks on the Surface Pro 9, although there are two USB Type-C connectors (USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4).
Microsoft estimates that 15 hours and 30 minutes of use time may be obtained from the Surface Pro 9’s 47.7 Wh battery under normal conditions. The gadget is available in the standard colors of Platinum, Sapphire, Forest, and Graphite.
