Ramco Systems, a global specialist in aviation software, has announced a strategic partnership with Korean Air, South Korea’s flag carrier and largest airline, to deploy its premier aviation software, the Ramco Aviation Suite, at Korean Air’s Engine Maintenance Center. This collaboration was officially unveiled at MRO Americas 2024 in Chicago.
This initiative closely follows Korean Air’s announcement of constructing a state-of-the-art engine MRO facility in Unbuk, near Incheon International Airport, set to become Asia’s largest engine maintenance plant, consolidating all engine MRO capabilities into one hub. Currently servicing six engine models, Korean Air aims to expand its aircraft family with three additional engine types.
Ramco’s Aviation Software implementation will replace multiple legacy systems, streamlining operations across existing engine shops and planned expansion sites. Offering comprehensive MRO-specific functionalities and integrated e-publications on a unified platform, Ramco Aviation will serve as the technological backbone for Korean Air. Additionally, the airline’s engine maintenance center will benefit from digital enablers such as Mobility via Anywhere Apps, HUBs, Dashboards, and other ecosystem integrations, powered by Ramco.

Chan Woo Jung, Vice President and Head of Maintenance & Engineering Division at Korean Air, said “Airlines today are grappling with the need for efficient engine maintenance. These needs prompted us to embark on our ambitious journey to build Asia’s largest engine maintenance complex and expand our capabilities to service more engine types.
