Sonodyne Launches Bandish G2, Malhar G2 and New SAMA Dolby Atmos Soundbars

Indian audio brand Sonodyne has unveiled its next generation of wireless audio systems, introducing updated Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 home music systems alongside three new Dolby Atmos soundbars: the SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000. The new lineup combines the company’s audio engineering expertise with updated designs, enhanced sound performance and modern connectivity features.

Founded in 1970 by IIT alumnus Ashoke Mukherjee, Sonodyne has spent more than 55 years developing audio products for music enthusiasts, recording professionals, cinemas, broadcasters and commercial installations. Its latest product range expands its wireless home audio and home theatre offerings.

Sonodyne Updates Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 Home Music Systems

Sonodyne has introduced the Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 as the next generation of its wireless home music systems, following the launch of its first such products in 2023. The company says customer feedback and real-world listening experiences have helped shape the updated models.

Both systems retain Sonodyne’s focus on balanced sound while introducing improvements to clarity, dynamics, functionality and cabinet design. The Malhar G2 also adopts a three-way speaker design.

Independent Bass and Treble Controls for Customised Sound

The Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 feature independent bass and treble controls, allowing listeners to adjust the sound according to their preferences and room acoustics.

Sonodyne says improvements in transducer design are intended to deliver greater clarity, helping voices, instruments and sound effects remain natural and clear. More powerful amplifiers, combined with digital signal processing (DSP) tuned through listening tests, are designed to provide additional headroom and improved dynamics.

Movie Mode and Curved Cabinet Design

The new home music systems feature a Movie Mode designed to create a wider soundstage for films and social gatherings. The feature complements the systems’ room-filling audio performance.

Both models also feature rigid wooden enclosures designed to minimise cabinet resonance. Their updated sculpted, curved cabinet design gives the speakers a distinctive appearance intended to complement modern interiors.

For added convenience, the Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 include a full-function remote control and HDMI ARC connectivity for integration with compatible smart TVs.

Sonodyne Expands Dolby Atmos Soundbar Range With Three New Models

Following the launch of the SAMA 5000 in 2025, Sonodyne has expanded its home theatre portfolio with three new Dolby Atmos soundbars. The earlier SAMA 5000 featured a compact 3.1-channel configuration, while the new models offer progressively more channels for a more immersive listening experience.

The new lineup includes the SAMA 6000 with a 5.1-channel configuration, the SAMA 7000 with a 5.1.2-channel setup and the flagship SAMA 8000 with a 7.1.4-channel configuration.

Sonodyne says the new models are designed to retain its balanced sound signature while improving clarity, bass performance and cinematic immersion.

SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 Focus on Sound Clarity

The new SAMA soundbars feature improvements in transducer design and frequency balance. According to Sonodyne, the enclosure design, transducers and DSP-based crossover systems have been aligned to improve the overall sound balance.

The increasing number of channels across the lineup is also intended to improve sound separation and clarity. The company says higher-power amplifiers provide greater acoustic headroom, while more powerful subwoofers deliver smoother bass reproduction with reduced distortion.

Dolby Atmos Channels Designed for More Immersive Audio

The three soundbars use different speaker configurations to deliver varying levels of immersion. The SAMA 6000 features side-firing drivers designed to create a wider soundstage.

The SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 add upward-firing channels to enhance the immersive audio experience. The flagship SAMA 8000 further combines upward-firing channels with wireless surround speakers to provide additional realism.

The SAMA 8000 also supports independent surround speaker level adjustment, allowing users to customise surround sound. All three models include subwoofer level control.

Slim Design and HDMI eARC Connectivity

Sonodyne’s new SAMA soundbars feature a slim profile designed for placement on a shelf beneath a television or for wall mounting.

The company has also focused on simplifying installation, with a single HDMI eARC connection for linking the soundbar to a compatible smart TV. The combination of a streamlined design and simplified connectivity is intended to make the systems suitable for modern home entertainment setups.

Sonodyne’s New Wireless Audio Range Availability in India

The Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 home music systems, along with the SAMA 6000, SAMA 7000 and SAMA 8000 Dolby Atmos soundbars, are available through Sonodyne’s authorised dealers and retail partners across India.

Customers can also purchase the products online through Amazon India and the company’s official website, Sonodyne.com.

Sonodyne Combines Its Audio Heritage With New Features

With the Bandish G2 and Malhar G2 home music systems and the expanded SAMA Dolby Atmos soundbar range, Sonodyne is bringing updated designs, improved audio features and modern connectivity to its wireless audio portfolio.

The new lineup continues the company’s stated focus on natural and accurate sound reproduction while offering options for music listening and immersive home theatre experiences.
