SHARP Business Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SHARP Corporation, Japan, has launched a new range of window air conditioners, including India’s first window AC with active air purification powered by its patented Plasmacluster technology. The new lineup includes the Ryohu (Inverter) and Ryohu-FS (Fixed Speed) series, designed to deliver efficient cooling along with improved indoor air quality.
Plasmacluster Technology Enhances Air Quality
A key highlight of the new range is SHARP’s Plasmacluster technology, which releases positive and negative ions into the air to help reduce bacteria, allergens, and odors. This integration enables the air conditioners to not only cool spaces but also actively improve air quality, addressing growing consumer demand for healthier indoor environments.
Designed for Indian Summer Conditions
The new window AC series is built to perform in extreme temperatures up to 52°C, making it suitable for harsh Indian summers. Features such as twin rotary inverter compressors, turbo mode, Coanda airflow, and 4-way auto swing ensure faster cooling and uniform air distribution across the room.
Energy Efficiency with Convertible Modes
Both inverter and fixed-speed models come with a 4-in-1 convertible mode, allowing users to adjust cooling capacity based on requirements. This helps optimize energy consumption while maintaining comfort. The lineup is available in multiple energy ratings, catering to different efficiency preferences.
Ryohu Inverter Series for Smart Cooling
The Ryohu Inverter Window AC (Top Throw) is offered in a 1.45-ton configuration with a cooling capacity of 5100W and is available in both 3-star and 5-star ratings. It features twin motor technology, turbo cooling, and multiple operating modes including auto, cool, dry, and fan. Select models also integrate Plasmacluster technology for enhanced air purification.
The inverter series includes user-friendly features such as a touch panel acrylic display, LED indicators, auto-restart functionality, and energy-saving mode, ensuring convenience alongside performance.
Ryohu-FS Fixed-Speed Series for Heavy-Duty Cooling
The Ryohu-FS fixed-speed series is available in capacities ranging from 1.41 ton to 1.70 ton, with cooling capacities between 4950W and 5975W. Designed for consistent performance, the range supports turbo cooling and long air throw up to 18 meters, making it suitable for larger spaces.
The series also focuses on durability, featuring 100% copper condensers, anti-corrosion blue fin coating, dust filters, and eco-friendly R32 refrigerant, ensuring long-term reliability.
Built with Japan 7 Shields for Durability
SHARP’s new window ACs are engineered with its Japan 7 Shields framework, designed to enhance durability, safety, and performance under demanding conditions. This framework ensures that the products are well-suited for India’s varied and extreme climate conditions.
Pricing, Warranty, and Availability
The Ryohu-FS (Fixed Speed) models start at ₹34,490, while the Ryohu (Inverter) series starts at ₹39,990. All models come with a 5-year comprehensive warranty, with the inverter series additionally offering a 10-year compressor warranty.
The new range is available across leading retail outlets and online platforms in India, reflecting SHARP’s strategy to bring advanced cooling and air purification technologies to a wider consumer base.
