Scaler Launches AI Teaching Assistant Powered by GPT-4

Scaler Academy, an edtech startup based in India, has introduced an AI teaching assistant powered by GPT-4 into its Scaler Academy program. This integration aims to enhance the learning experience for students by reducing doubt resolution time and improving learning outcomes.

The GPT-4 powered AI assistant is available 24/7, providing continuous support to students, enabling them to learn at their own pace. It assists learners in understanding complex problems, identifying effective problem-solving strategies, and debugging code.

To utilize the AI assistant, students can input their queries as prompts, and the assistant responds with appropriate guidance without directly revealing the solution. This approach promotes self-driven learning, empowering students to develop critical problem-solving skills and deepen their conceptual understanding.

Additionally, Scaler has introduced a ‘Text Help Request’ (THR) feature, leveraging advanced machine learning algorithms like BERT and Distilled BERT, to further enhance doubt resolution. The implementation of the THR feature has already demonstrated a 30% improvement in the resolution of help requests within just one week, significantly enhancing learner satisfaction.

Since its pilot launch, over 6000 learners have benefited from the AI teaching assistant, witnessing a positive impact on their ability to solve problems independently. Scaler’s plan is to extend access to both the AI Assistant and THR features to all 35,000 learners in the Scaler ecosystem within the next three months. This move aims to empower learners across the platform with personalized assistance, fostering a more efficient and rewarding learning experience.
