Samsung has officially announced that its much-anticipated Fan Edition device, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, will launch on October 4. Coincidentally, this is the same day Google plans to unveil its highly awaited Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, setting the stage for a clash of tech giants.
While the Fan Edition series typically aligns closely with Samsung’s flagship S series, leaked renders suggest that the Galaxy S23 FE might bear a striking resemblance to the mid-range Galaxy A54 in terms of design and build quality. Alongside the S23 FE, Samsung is also rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Buds FE, expanding its offering of fan-centric devices.
Leaked and teased over the past few months, the smartphone has generated significant buzz. A landing page on Amazon India even revealed the back of the phone, providing enthusiasts with a sneak peek.
What to expecpt from Galaxy S23 FE?
- 5G-Enabled with Powerful Chipset: The Galaxy S23 FE will be a 5G-enabled device, powered by either a Snapdragon or Exynos chipset, depending on the geographical location. The US version is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, while the China variant may boast Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 2200 chipset.
- Display and Camera: Leaks suggest a 6.4-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, similar to the vanilla Galaxy S23, the device is likely to house a triple camera setup, including a 50MP primary shooter, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
- Storage and Battery: Expect the S23 FE to come with 8GB RAM and two storage variants – 128GB and 256GB. A recent TENAA listing in China revealed a 4,370mAh battery with 25W wired charging support. Rumors also hint at the device having some form of IP rating and offering four color options.
- Price and Availability: The Galaxy S23 FE is anticipated to be priced higher than the Galaxy A54 but more affordable than the vanilla Galaxy S23. Tipsters suggest a starting price of Rs 54,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase from 4th of October.
