Salesforce Delivers Growth, Customer Success and Further Investment in India

Salesforce, recognized as the leading AI CRM, has unveiled its plans for a substantial expansion of its Bengaluru office, signaling a strategic move to bolster its presence in India. This decision aligns with Salesforce’s ongoing commitment to fostering growth in the country, where an increasing number of companies are embracing digital transformation and harnessing the innovation cycle driven by generative AI. In the fiscal year ending on March 31, Salesforce India witnessed a remarkable surge in total revenue, exceeding ₹6000.3 crore, marking a growth of over 50% compared to the previous year, as reported in its regulatory filing with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ Registrar of Companies.

Earlier this year, Salesforce had already announced the expansion of its flagship Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad, reinforcing India’s status as a preeminent hub for talent, knowledge, and global innovation within the company. Presently boasting a workforce of 10,000 employees across dynamic sites in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, Pune, and Jaipur, Salesforce is poised to expand its Bengaluru office further. The company remains actively engaged in recruiting for various roles encompassing technology and product development, sales, business support, and customer success.

Prominent Indian businesses, including TVS Motor, Asian Paints, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Atomberg, are increasingly turning to Salesforce for guidance in crafting digital strategies that enhance productivity, drive efficiency, and revolutionize customer interactions amidst a transformative era where expectations for products and services are rapidly evolving.

Salesforce’s growth trajectory in India is fortified by an extensive ecosystem comprising strategic partners, startups, over 2 million Salesforce developers, and a remarkable user base on Trailhead – Salesforce’s free online learning platform – surpassing any other market outside the US. This dynamic community plays a pivotal role in fostering innovative Salesforce solutions and opportunities within the region.

Expressing the significance of India in Salesforce’s global strategy, Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO & Chairperson of Salesforce India, affirmed, “India is a key market for Salesforce. We are fully focused on supporting India’s economic growth through our role as a trusted digital advisor to businesses up and down the country. At the forefront of the AI revolution, we are also brilliantly positioned to deepen India’s reputation as a global tech leader. Salesforce is committed to investing in the region, unlocking local opportunities and, in turn, helping to transform businesses globally. I’ve no doubt that we will continue to deliver here. I look forward to the next phase of our exciting journey.”

In addition to its business endeavors, Salesforce has demonstrated its commitment to social impact by awarding grants totaling $1.1 million to five NGOs across India. These grants, benefiting organizations such as Teach For India, TNS India Foundation, Youth for India Foundation, Malligavad Foundation, and Green Yatra, are directed towards initiatives in education, workforce development, climate justice, and community resilience, aiming to contribute to lasting societal change and further enrich India’s growth narrative.
