Earlier this year, Redmi introduced the Note 12R Pro in China, which is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. This smartphone joins the Note 12 series, which includes various other devices such as the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and more.
The Redmi Note 12R follows the design language seen in other devices within the series, showcasing a similar aesthetic. Its camera module bears a resemblance to that of the Poco F5, though it may not possess the same level of refinement. The device features a punch-hole cutout on the front display, accompanied by thick bezels. On the rear, the handset is equipped with a dual-camera setup and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
Listed on China Telecom with the model number 23076RA4BC, the Redmi Note 12R boasts a 6.79-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, which may make it one of the first smartphones to feature this chipset. It will be available in configurations of up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
In terms of storage expandability, the handset supports microSD cards, allowing users to extend the storage capacity by up to 1TB. On the software side, the Redmi Note 12R will run on Android 13 with MIUI 14 out of the box. For photography, it features a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies, and on the rear, it houses a 50MP primary camera accompanied by a 2MP secondary camera.
To keep the device powered throughout the day, it comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 22.5W charging. The Redmi Note 12R will be available in three color options: Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Sky Fantasy.
