Redmi Note 12 launching in India on March 30

After its earlier appearance this month, Xiaomi has now confirmed the launch of the Redmi Note 12 4G smartphone in India on March 30th. This launch follows the release of the Redmi Note 12 5G model in January.

According to the company, the upcoming SuperNote will be the thinnest in its class and will feature a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, powered by the Snapdragon 685 4G Mobile Platform. This processor is an overclocked (up to 2.8 GHz) version of the Snapdragon 680 that is currently used in the Redmi Note 11. The phone is also confirmed to have a 50MP rear camera and a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The company claims that the SuperNote will come with up to 11GB of RAM, including virtual RAM, which suggests that a 6GB RAM version could also be available.

Leaked renders suggest that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 will feature a similar rear design and a punch-hole front camera. Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, an IR blaster, 4GB of RAM, and 3GB of virtual RAM. The phone will run on Android 13 out of the box with MIUI 14 and will be available in blue, gray, and green colors. Xiaomi is set to host a global event on March 23rd to unveil the Redmi Note 12 series, which will likely reveal the complete specifications of the phone. The Redmi Note 12 will be available on Flipkart, mi.com, and offline stores. Xiaomi has also announced that the phone will be part of the Xiaomi Fan Festival, indicating that more devices may be announced at the event on March 30th.
