Recyclekaro, a leading player in e-waste and lithium-ion battery recycling in India, is poised to unveil India’s pioneering Plasma Furnace Technology Unit for extracting high-value metals. This revolutionary leap marks a significant milestone in recycling and resource recovery, positioning India as a trailblazer in environmental sustainability.
Plasma Furnace Technology harnesses high-temperature plasma arcs to extract valuable metals from diverse waste streams. In contrast to conventional methods that may pose environmental hazards, this technology offers a cleaner, more sustainable approach to metal extraction. Recyclekaro’s cutting-edge unit, boasting a current capacity of 7500 metric tonnes, retrieves precious metals like gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, as well as rare earth metals, from electronic waste and industrial residues. With the installation of the new plasma furnace, Recyclekaro’s e-waste recycling capacity is poised to soar nearly tenfold to 75,000 metric tonnes per annum.

Speaking on this launch, Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Founder and Director of Recyclekaro, commented, “The introduction of India’s first Plasma Furnace Technology Unit will represent a significant leap forward in our mission to revolutionize waste management and resource recovery. In light of China’s dominant position, controlling approximately 85% of rare earth elements (REE) production, Recyclekaro aims to significantly boost rare earth elements production, with ambitions to achieve up to 1 to 1.5 MT per annum. Plasma Furnace Technology generates temperatures ranging from 5000 to 1000 degrees Celsius, enabling faster processing times and higher metal recovery rates compared to traditional methods. With an anticipated 90% increase in efficiency and productivity, this environmentally friendly technology perfectly aligns with Recyclekaro’s sustainability objectives and regulatory standards.
The Plasma Furnace Technology Unit will integrate state-of-the-art machinery, ensuring cost-effective and eco-friendly operations while adhering to stringent environmental and safety protocols.
