Recyclekaro Expands Recycling Capacity to 24,000 Tonnes Annually, Strengthening India’s Circular Economy

Recyclekaro, a leading player in e-waste management and lithium-ion battery recycling, has announced a major expansion of its operations at its state-of-the-art Palghar facility near Mumbai. The expansion triples its e-waste recycling capacity from 7,500 MT to 24,000 MT per year and increases its battery recycling capacity from 4,200 MT to 10,000 MT per year. This development reinforces Recyclekaro’s commitment to India’s green agenda, tackling growing e-waste challenges and promoting sustainable recycling solutions.

Addressing India’s Growing E-Waste and Battery Waste Problem

India generates over 3.2 million tonnes of e-waste annually, with lithium-ion battery waste increasing at a 30% CAGR. Recyclekaro’s expanded capacity aims to reduce environmental risks associated with improper battery disposal while recovering valuable resources for reuse. Committed to a zero-disposal approach, the company ensures that all waste is either recycled or repurposed, aligning with its mission to minimize landfill waste and promote circularity.

Rajesh Gupta, Founder & Director of Recyclekaro, emphasized the company’s vision: “As we expand, we remain focused on pioneering innovative recycling solutions that will redefine the industry. By leveraging advanced technology and sustainable practices, Recyclekaro is driving India’s shift towards a circular economy.
