PM distributed 71,000 appointment letters to new government employees through a virtual event called the Rozgar Mela

Today, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed 71,000 appointment letters to new recruits in government departments and organizations through a virtual event called the Rozgar Mela. The event aligns with the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritize employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to drive further employment opportunities and provide meaningful opportunities for the youth to empower and participate in national development.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfillment of the commitment of the prime minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development,”-The Prime Minister’s office issued a statement regarding the distribution of the appointment letters.

During the Rozgar Mela, the Prime Minister will distribute appointment letters to new recruits joining various government departments. These positions include junior engineers, loco pilots, technicians, inspectors, sub-inspectors, constables, stenographers, junior accountants, income tax inspectors, teachers, nurse, doctor, social security officers, personal assistants and multi-task staff, among others. Additionally, the newly-inducted officials will share their experiences from the Karmayogi Prarambh module. This online orientation course provides new recruits with guidance on the code of conduct and other requirements for their new roles.
