In China, Oppo is planning to release three Reno 9 smartphones: the Reno 9, the Reno 9 Pro, and the Reno 9 Pro Plus. According to rumors, the series’ official debut in the brand’s native market will take place this month. A trusted leaker has released high-quality images of all three phones in the series while we wait for an official announcement. Let’s analyze the specific details.
Famous leaker Evan Blass has now released renders of the next Oppo Reno9, 9 Pro, & 9 Pro Plus smartphones. There are some distinguishing features between the three models, despite their superficial similarity. To give just one example, the Reno9 Pro Plus has a larger camera island that stands out from the rest of the phone. Plus, it comes equipped with a second camera.
Oppo appears to be reintroducing its curved display and frame. Even the base model, or “vanilla,” Reno9, which will be the least expensive of the series, will have a curved screen. However, the camera island’s wording suggests it lacks the company’s MariSilicon imaging chip.
Recently, the Reno 9 series’s detailed specifications became public. The rumored specifications for the Reno 9 include a 4,500 mAh battery & compatibility for 67W fast charging with the Snapdragon 778G chipset. Among its many features is a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary shooter. However, the Reno 9 Pro will have the Density 8100-Max processor and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W charging. It will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main camera & an 8-megapixel lens for photography.
Apparently, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC is found inside of the more expensive Reno 9 Pro+. There will be a 4,700mAh battery that can be charged at 80W. The primary camera on the device is expected to be a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8-megapixel lens and a 2-megapixel unit.
