HMD Global has officially announced the upcoming launch of the Nokia G42 5G smartphone in India, scheduled for September 11th. The phone, originally introduced in June, boasts unique features such as QuickFix repairability in partnership with iFixit, although there’s no mention of this feature for the Indian market.
However, HMD Global emphasizes that the Nokia G42 5G for India is designed with an eco-friendly approach, featuring a back cover made from 65% recycled materials and being manufactured locally in India. The company also confirms that the phone will come pre-installed with Android 13 and offers a commitment to provide two years of operating system upgrades and three years of security updates.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia G42 5G for the Indian market will feature 6GB of RAM, supplemented by 5GB of additional virtual RAM, and 128GB of storage.
