The latest additions to HP’s laptop lineup are the HP 14 and 15 models, which serve as entry-level notebooks. With 14-inch and 15-inch displays, these laptops boast a thin and light design and a metallic build quality, all at an affordable starting price of 39,999 INR.
The HP 14 model weighs a mere 1.4 kilograms, while the HP 15 model weighs approximately 1.6 kilograms, making them highly portable. Despite their lightweight design, the laptops still feel solid and premium due to their metallic build. However, they may not feel as robust as the pricier Pavilion series models. Typing on these laptops was a pleasant experience, with their 13th Gen Intel Core processors providing snappy responsiveness.
Pavilion x360
The Pavilion x360 series has gained popularity in the Pavilion lineup due to its versatile 2-in-1 form factor enabled by its 360-degree hinge. This feature allows the Pavilion x360 to function as a regular laptop or be used in tablet mode with its touchscreen display. During our hands-on experience with this model, we found the user experience to be smooth and responsive. The snappy performance of the laptop combined with the convenience of the 360 hinge allowed us to test out the touchscreen functionality as well.
As someone who has used 2-in-1 laptops before, I can attest to the versatility of such models, and the Pavilion x360 delivers a great experience in both tablet and laptop mode. The typing experience on this model was top-notch, and its metallic build quality added a premium touch. Despite its premium feel, the Pavilion x360 remains lightweight at just 1.41 kilograms. With a starting price of 57,999 INR, it offers a compelling option for those seeking a versatile and lightweight device with premium features.
HP Pavilion Plus 14
The HP Pavilion Plus 14, the most expensive model announced, boasts impressive specs and features. Its premium metal build quality exudes a premium feel and design. One of the standout features of this model is its OLED display, which offers vibrant colors and excellent image quality. The 14-inch OLED panel boasts a 2.8K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, providing a visually stunning experience.
In summary, the HP Pavilion Plus 14 impressed with its higher refresh rate and superior display panel, providing an excellent viewing experience. The keyboard was decent to use, although it’s worth noting that this model runs on the older 12th Gen Intel Core processors, unlike the other models which feature the latest 13th Gen processors. With a starting price of 81,999 INR, the Pavilion Plus 14 is the most expensive among the four new models.
