Neuranics, a pioneering healthcare diagnostics startup, has raised $700K in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). This funding will drive the development and clinical validation of the company’s innovative point-of-care blood analyzer, a device poised to transform routine diagnostics by delivering complete blood count (CBC) results in under 10 minutes using a simple finger-prick sample.
A Game-Changer in Diagnostics
Neuranics’ compact, dry haematology analyzer addresses critical gaps in primary and emergency care settings. Unlike traditional systems that rely on complex sample transport and preparation, Neuranics’ device offers immediate CBC results, enabling healthcare providers to make timely, informed decisions on triage, further testing, and treatment. This innovation not only streamlines workflows but also reduces healthcare costs and minimizes unnecessary interventions, such as inappropriate antibiotic prescriptions, while expediting life-saving treatments for conditions like sepsis, anemia, and thrombocytopenia in dengue patients.
Dr. Megha Sharma, Chief Medical Evangelist at Neuranics, highlighted the transformative impact of this innovation: “Our point-of-care CBC analyzer represents a significant leap forward in diagnostic convenience and accessibility. By utilizing a simple finger-prick capillary blood sample. We have effectively eliminated the need for traditional venipuncture, making blood testing faster, less invasive, and more patient-friendly. This technology empowers healthcare providers to deliver immediate, actionable insights, even in resource-limited settings, ultimately improving patient outcomes especially in Primary health care centres for screening and at emergency setups for triage.”
Milestones and Recognition
Founded in 2021 by Praveen Kumar and Ashutosh Patra, Neuranics has achieved remarkable progress, including:
- Patent approval.
- Ethical clearance from AIIMS Delhi.
- CDSCO test licensing.
- Clinical trial advancements.
The company has also been recognized by prestigious platforms like YourStory Tech30, Amazon-Sambhav, and the India-Sweden Innovation Challenge for its potential to decentralize diagnostics and address conditions such as anemia, malaria, and leukemia.
Praveen Kumar, CEO of Neuranics, emphasized the company’s mission: “We are re-imagining how we approach diagnostics by bringing instant, accurate blood analysis closer to the patient without compromising on the quality. Our technology empowers clinicians with real-time data, transforming care delivery and elevating patient outcomes.
By leveraging AI on de-identified pathological imaging data generated by our analyzer, we aim to set a new gold standard for national screening programs. This innovative technology will elevate healthcare quality in India and establish the country as a global leader in point of care blood analyser.
