NETGEAR®, a global leader in intelligent networking solutions, has entered into a global technology partnership with Riedel Communications, a company known for powering live production across media, sports, and entertainment. This strategic collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of AV-over-IP by integrating NETGEAR’s high-performance managed switches with Riedel’s MediorNet video infrastructure solutions.
A Unified Approach to IP-Based Media Workflows
The partnership’s first milestone brings NETGEAR AV’s M4350 series managed switches together with Riedel’s MediorNet MuoN A processing SFPs, enabling SMPTE ST 2110 Gateway functionality. This integration simplifies decentralized signal distribution over standard IP networks, supporting broadcasters, live event operators, and commercial AV integrators as they move away from traditional SDI-based systems.
High-Performance Networking Backbone
Riedel will now offer NETGEAR’s M4350-16V4C Fully Managed Switch (VSM4320C) as part of its solution stack. The switch features:
- 25G SFP28 ports
- 100G uplinks
- Built-in SMPTE ST 2110 Grandmaster and Boundary Clock functions
With these capabilities, NETGEAR provides the reliability, bandwidth, and low-latency performance required to support next-generation AV-over-IP deployments.
Building the Future of IP-Driven Media Production
As broadcasters and event production teams worldwide transition to IP-based workflows, the NETGEAR–Riedel collaboration is set to deliver an integrated foundation for scalable, efficient, and future-ready AV infrastructures.
