NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP), a global cloud-led, data-centric software company, announced that Piero Gallucci has joined as its Vice President and General Manager in, UK & Ireland.
Gallucci joins NetApp from his role as Vice President, VMware Tanzu EMEA. Gallucci will lead UK and Ireland employees while focusing on NetApp’s transformation as a hybrid cloud leader in the market. As part of NetApp’s EMEA & LATAM leadership team, Gallucci will report to Giovanna Sangiorgi, Senior Vice President for EMEA & LATAM.
NetApp has driven tremendous innovation in the cloud space over the past few years, including the acquisition of several technology businesses that specialize in technical and business optimization of cloud services, such as Spot by NetApp, CloudCheckr, Fylamynt, and Instaclustr. At the same time, the company has continued to expand its market-defining position as a key partner and supplier in data centre modernisation, helping customers build powerful solutions for artificial intelligence, smart factory, core business applications, and containerization.
The UK market, which NetApp entered 25 years ago, is now the largest Cloud market in Europe. Gallucci will build on this foundation to drive the company’s UK transformation to establish NetApp as a leading provider of multi-cloud solutions, hybrid cloud storage, and cloud data services.
