As per its commitment, Motorola has officially launched the Edge 40 in India. The smartphone will be available in Jet Black, Reseda Green, and Coronet Blue color options, featuring a sole configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Priced at INR 29,999 ($360/€335), the device will be up for sale starting May 30th through Flipkart and Motorola’s official Indian website. Additionally, customers who pre-order the device on Flipkart will receive complimentary screen damage protection valued at INR 9,500 ($115/€105).
Equipped with the Dimensity 8020 SoC, the Motorola Edge 40 runs on the Android 13 operating system right out of the box. Its prominent feature is a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The display includes a centered punch-hole cutout housing a 32MP front-facing camera and an integrated fingerprint reader for convenient and secure unlocking.
The rear panel of the Motorola Edge 40 showcases different materials based on the color variant. The Coronet Blue model features an acrylic plastic back, while the Jet Black and Reseda Green versions have a vegan leather finish. The back also accommodates a powerful 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide camera.
To ensure continuous operation, the Motorola Edge 40 is powered by a 4,400 mAh battery that supports both 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Additional noteworthy features of the device include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers, support for Dolby Atmos, and the presence of a USB-C port.
